Schools Meet NCLB Requirements, Cut Costs by $740,000
The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) is replacing its legacy
UNIX-based student information system with the Microsoft® .NET–connected

and Web services will enable the state to roll up and update student
attendance information every two hours rather than on a weekly basis.
The increased frequency is crucial to meeting federal regulatory
requirements and boosting revenues from programs such as the free

annual costs by $740,000.
